We do offer an in house washing service, please contact us for more details. However, if you choose to was the wig yourself please follow these instructions carefully.

Before considering to washing your wig you must ensure you have a block supplied from Wig Innovation.

1. Wrap block in cling film to protect and keep dry.

2. Place wig on the block making sure it is central by holding the sides of the wig and pulling down at the back.

3. Pin wig onto block using dressmaking pins or blocking pins with flat ends. Pin every centimetre all the way around the edge of the wig base.

4. Take your secured wig to the sink and using warm water soak the wig under the tap.

5. Apply a good quality shampoo and smooth on but do not rub vigorously at the roots. Rinse with warm water.

6. If the wig is dirty shampoo twice.

7. Apply conditioner all over the wig and comb through is small sections until all knots are removed and rinse it under the tap.

8. Remove excess water by placing a towel over the wig and pressing down again do not rub.

9. Place wig on stand/clamp and comb through.

10. Section the wig into 4 from the front centre to nape, crown to ears.

11. Blow-dry in small sections starting at the nape, working up to the crown, then each side from ear up to the parting.

12. No products are needed as hairspray and styling products will build up and will weaken the hair.

13. Wash your wig every 3-4weeks

Your wig must be washed every time on your wig block supplied by us. There are no exceptions to this rule. The knots of the wig can unravel, and the base can stretch if you do not. You have invested in a beautiful hand knotted wig. Treat it with care!
