Terms of Purchase

Application

These Terms apply to the purchase of Wigs and Hairpieces.

These are the terms by which wigs, and Hairpieces are made and sold to you.  By going ahead with an order, you agree to adhere to these Terms.

Goods

The Goods are Bespoke Hand Made Wigs and Hairpieces made to the individual specific requirements of each client.

During the initial consultation, an order will be made out outlining all the information discussed and agreed.

It’s important that you read through the order thoroughly before agreeing to go ahead with the making process.

The order includes price and details of how the Wig or Hairpiece will be made to include the foundation, attachments, density, style and hair samples for colours.

Any changes to the order made by you once commencement is underway; such as foundation changes, change of hair colour or hair length will only be possible at the additional cost to you for any additional hair and materials, plus additional work if this is required.

Appointments can be rescheduled 24hrs prior to appointment or a cancellation fee of £100 will be charged.

Price and Payment

The price of the Wig or Hairpiece will be quoted at the consultation. Information on basic costs are on our website, any changes to the price shown on the website will either be due to hair costs, specialist requirements in the foundation, double knotting, shadow root and specialist hair such as mohair. The price of hair increases slightly with length and colour.

Any additional charges such as travel costs to client’s homes or hospitals will be included in the total cost outlined in the order.

A payment of 50% of the total price for the Wig or Hairpiece is required upfront as the Deposit. This payment must be made either by cash, cheque or bank transfer. The deposit payment must clear in the chosen account of Katie Macaulay before any work can commence.

The deposit is non refundable once paid.

The remaining payment must be made on receipt of the Wig or Hairpiece. The final payment can be paid either by cash, or bank transfer. If paying by cheque the funds will need to clear before collection of the wig.

Withdrawal and Cancellation

Cancellation at any point during the making process will mean you will be liable for the full cost of the wig or hairpiece.

Quality

The Wig or Hairpiece upon receipt will:

(a)  comply in all material respects with the order confirmation;

(b)  be of excellent quality;

(c)  be fit for any purpose recommended by Wig Innovation

(d)  be free from material defects in design, material and workmanship.

(e)  Due to the nature of this product Wig innovation offer no guarantees on longevity.

A caring for your wig leaflet and training is given to enable confidence and skill handling and wearing your Wig or Hairpiece. You will be given step by step instructions on how to wash and style your wig or hairpiece.

Wig Innovation is not responsible for:

(a)  fair wear and tear;

(b)  your use of the Wig or Hairpiece in a way that isn’t recommended;

(c)  your failure to follow the recommended guidance and instructions;

(d)  any alteration or repair carried out by anyone other than Wig   Innovation.

(e)  washing and styling the wig or hairpiece incorrectly;

(f)  the use of heated styling aids, colours and cutting the wig incorrectly;

Wig Innovation provides the following aftercare services at the fee set out on our website.

(a)  Full washing and Styling Service

(b)  Repair and Maintenance Work

(c)  Any changes over time that may want to be made.

This contract is governed by the law of England & Wales and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England & Wales.
