I ended up sending the wig to Katie along with some surplus hair I bought. Katie could see what needed to be done and I hardly had to explain my requirements, it was just obvious to her (I’m still not sure why it wasn’t obvious to the original wigmaker!). Katie and her team fixed and finished my wig to a really high standard and I’m absolutely delighted with the result.

I could tell she was highly experienced as she sympathetically understood the issues I had been experiencing with my existing supplier. Being based in Edinburgh, I was fully prepared to travel to London to meet Katie for my consultation but was delighted to discover she was more than willing to travel to me in Edinburgh and be very flexible with timings – a great help with two young children.

I’m really pleased with my new wig. It fits very well and is comfortable to wear. The hair is top quality, as is the craftmanship, and it was ready in a couple of weeks which was great.
I especially like the way the wig base has been cut slightly above my hairline at the back to enable me to tie the hair up, with my own hair covering the base underneath. This is a great idea for people who still have some of their own hair (I have hair but it is very fine and thinning).

Since having alopecia I have lost a lot of my confidence, it’s not something that is openly talked about enough and can result in feeling extremely isolated and self conscious in every day life. I cannot tell you how having one of your bespoke wigs has changed my life. Your personal touch in helping me get through the stage of trying to explain what I wanted was so comforting and helpful. You were so patient and understanding and answered all my concerns which resulted with me choosing the perfect colour and amount of hair needed which I may add is European human hair.
You talked me through the whole process and gave me so much insight that I felt confident throughout.
Needless to say on the day you came to me with my wig I was not disappointed! But again when styling my “hair” you listened to my fears and my needs and slowly and gently turned my wig into this amazing style which is just what I wanted!
